by Dan Watson, National Trust for Scotland – “Glencoe: Scotland’s Newest National Nature Reserve – What makes it so special?”

Glencoe is perhaps best known for its dramatic history and popularity as an outdoor pursuits destination.  But it is also proving to be one of the most biologically rich areas in the country.  Over the past few decades, a multitude of rare flower and plant species have been discovered among the crags and peaks of Glencoe’s mountains. National Trust for Scotland Ecologist Dan Watson will be here to explain why Glencoe is home to such an array of wildlife, and how he monitors it all!
