We are thrilled to be hosting an artist who many regard as one of the finest musicians on the contemporary folk scene.

Take a glance at just a few of those with whom he has recorded. The Chieftains, Dougie Maclean, Christy Moore, Sharon Shannon, Natalie McMaster, Altan, Stockton’s Wing, Capercailzie, Michael McGoldrick, Seamus Begley, The Barra McNeill’s, Session A9, Wolfstone, Tony McManus, Mary Black, Julie Fowlis, …..and that’s just a few, the complete list would fill the rest of the page.

He was Radio Two’s musician of the year (BBC R2 Folk Awards ) and his live solo shows have been described as a stunning mix of world music inspired instrumental virtuosity and passion with a strong Celtic theme, “a highly entertaining night of musical genius”

FRoots magazine describe him as “brilliant – in every which way. As a guitarist he has few peers. As a box player he’s a magician. As a character he’s off the scale”

Mike Harding says of him: “Utterly fantastic. Sheer, wonderful ebullient music”

“he plays a host of different instruments to a standard us mere mortals can only dream of. Listen and weep”- Jim Byrne, The Living Tradition

You can judge for yourself. His name is Tim Edey and he will be playing here on Friday Oct 12th.

You can reserve yours by email or phone now. I hope you can come to both; they will be brilliant evenings of top quality live music.
