Come and enjoy exploring Glencoe’s famous hidden valley, Coire Gabhail, a hideout for cattle thieves. This walk takes you up into the hidden valley, revealing fantastic views of Glencoe. Learn about the local environment and history, and maybe glimpse a red deer or a golden eagle.

Our Rangers are also experienced Mountain Leaders who will look after you on your journey to the top and back down again, sharing some hill skills and navigation tips too.

Please note, you should come prepared with the equipment you need for a day out in the Scottish hills. The rangers reserve the right to refuse entry onto the walk if clothing/footwear is deemed unsuitable. Please make us aware of any fitness/medical issues that may affect your ability to take part in this walk at the time of booking.

This Grade C walk runs on the second Friday of each month from August to October.

For 1–2 customers the cost would be £75 in total; for more than 2 customers, it’s £25 per person (up to 10 people).

Key to guided walk grading:

A – Low-level walk on established paths.

B – Low-level walk on established paths and some rough paths. Reasonable level of fitness required.

C – Medium-level walk including rough/boggy ground and short rocky exposed sections. Reasonable level of fitness required.

D – High-level mountain walk on rough and steep terrain. Good level of fitness required.

D+ – High-level mountain walk on rough terrain. Some steep, rocky and exposed sections. Good level of fitness required.
