Property Details

Ardno House is a Visit Scotland 4 Star Gold, 4 room, loch side, bed and breakfast near Glencoe, with stunning views over Loch Linnhe to the Ardgour hills and nestling at the foot of a wooded mountain.

Your hosts Robert & Morag have a passion for quality, comfort, and attention to detail, evident from the moment you arrive.

All four spacious bedrooms, three with loch views, are fitted to a very high standard, with quality comfortable king-size beds, TV, hairdryer, silent fridge, USB charging points, complimentary hospitality tray with homemade shortbread, and luxurious private facilities en-suite with complimentary Highland Soap Company products.

We prepare a full menu Scottish breakfast with local ingredients and are proud to have been awarded Visit Scotland’s “Taste our Best” accreditation. There is no need to order the previous night. Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and other diets are well catered for.

There is ample private car parking. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property and the guest lounge gives a chance to relax in the evening and enjoy the views and glorious sunsets whilst you plan your next day.

Ardno House is a perfect base to tour the breath-taking splendour of the Glen Coe and the Scottish West Highlands. Set amidst some of Scotland’s finest mountains, where wildlife abounds, the area is a paradise for walkers and climbers alike.

History is all around. It is only a short drive to the scene of the Massacre of Glencoe set amidst spectacular towering mountains. The monument to the Appin Murder, the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Kidnapped”, is situated on the hillside just behind Ardno House, and Castle Stalker is just down the road.

There are several excellent eating places just a short drive away, and if you want to stretch your legs when you arrive there is an amazing walk behind the house with more wonderful panoramic views across the loch or along the “Caledonian Way” cycle path in front of the house.
