Kinlochlaich House is a historic, listed country house built in the 18th century, with its own beautiful gardens.
There are three comfortable, self catering apartments, sleeping 2 to 4/5 people.
Corrie sleeps 2 in a king-sized or twin beds (plus an additional sofa bed) and is on the ground floor.
Creran sleeps 4 in a king-sized and two bunk beds, and has a log burning stove. Access to Creran – which is in the oldest part of the house, dating to the 1700s – is via a spiral staircase.
Linnhe sleeps 4/5 (in a double bed, two single beds, plus additional sofa bed in the lounge). This is our garden apartment, looking out to the moat and up to the grounds. Linnhe has a log burning stove and is pet friendly.
The Appin area includes the picturesque village of Port Appin, the romantic Castle Stalker and the historic island of Lismore. The village has several places to eat including cosy pubs and a gourmet restaurant. There are fantastic opportunities locally for walking, climbing, cycling, water sports, fishing, nature watching and photography, pony trekking and skiing. The mountains of Glencoe are nearby.
Appin is mid-way between Fort William and Oban which offers an ideal location to explore the Highlands or take ferry cruises to the islands of Mull, Iona, Staffa and beyond. Both towns offer shopping, golf, swimming and whisky distilleries. Port Appin has a Community Coop, garage and Doctor’s surgery.
Short breaks are available through the Autumn, Spring and Winter. At these times of year, the changing colours and light often show the landscapes at their most spectacular.
