Mamore Lodge Circular Walk

Walk Grade: Strenuous, allow 2 hours

Discover what it was like to walk this old military road used by soldiers, navvies and royalty, with breathtaking views down Loch Leven.
Start from the Aluminium Story in Kinlochleven and cross the bridge following the main road out of the village. Opposite the all weather pitch cross the road to where the West Highland Way leads onto the hill. Crossing a tarmac road continue up a rough foot-path until you come to a cart track past the TV mast. Do NOT turn right but continue to the path leading below the stalkers house where you see another path on your right, taking great care follow this path. Cross the wooden bridge, follow the path at the crossroads and turn right until you reach the old wall. Turn right behind the wall and follow the path until you come to a wooden bridge. Turn left at the steps and follow the path to the car park. You are now back in the village.
