The Quarry Centre, Ballachulish Visitor Centre, is located in the beautiful village of Ballachulish, one mile from Glen Coe. Our independent gift shop was established in 1982, where it was purpose built as a museum to the world famous Ballachulish Slate Quarry. This slate heritage is apparent in the shop with a large selection of luxury tables mats, trays, jewellery and gifts on sale. We also stock a comprehensive range of Scottish gifts including textiles, clothing, cut crystal and Glen Affric bages and Tweeds.

For the kids we have a variety of games, gifts, crafts and toys, along with clothing and Scottish made sweets and chocolates.

Glencoe Photography gallery is also located in the centre with stunning images of Glencoe and the surrounding area. As well as framed and mounted prints there is a selection of magnets, mugs and cards all with stunning images by local photographer Karl Griffin. Unique to the Quarry Centre.

Our staff have picked the finest selection of Scottish foods from around Scotland and many of our chutneys and spreads can be tasted in our Cafe’ located in the centre.
